HOW IT WORKS
SATELLITE TECHNOLOGY
GPS trackers work by receiving their location from a network of Global Positioning System satellites and reporting that location, along with other data, back to the user through a cell network. SpyTrack trackers use the world’s most reliable satellites and 4G LTE SIMS to send GPS data directly to our user-friendly app. Through this process the user can receive location alerts, make SOS calls, and monitor other real-time location data.
NO CONTRACTS OR HIDDEN FEES
The tracking service costs $20 – $25 monthly depending on the plan you choose, requires no contract, and can be changed or cancelled at any time. Choose your plan in the SpyTrack app when you activate your device.
SPYTRACK APP
The SpyTrack GPS Tracking App is compatible with all desktop or mobile devices. Once you receive your tracker, you will activate it, change alert settings, and monitor GPS data directly in the app. Follow the location of your tracker in real-time or watch playback history; use the geo-fence feature to set alerts for the locations you choose – know when the tracker arrives or leaves; receive low-battery alerts; choose when, where, and how often you are notified. With the SpyTrack App YOU are in control!

SpyTrack makes the security of your personal data its priority. We have applied numerous security features to assure that our users receive accurate and unaltered information that will not be accessed by anyone who is not authorized. First, SpyTrack devices can be connected to only one user account. You can rest assured that no one else is able to create an account and track your device. In addition, all reported data/communication between the user and our servers is encrypted in HTTPS. This way, no one else can “eavesdrop” on the conversation.

REPORTING FREQUENCY VS. BATTERY LIFE
Our plug-in and wired trackers never need to be charged because they run on the vehicle’s power source. For our battery-powered wireless trackers, however, we are often asked how long they last between charges. The answer varies depending on the tracker’s battery size and the frequency settings (how often the tracker reports back with gps coordinates and data). These settings can be changed to report location data at specified intervals, such as every 30 minutes or twice a day, or they can be triggered by an event like entering a specified location or when a crash is detected. Also, when you log into the app and connect with the tracker in real-time the device uses additional power to access gps satellites and report to the app. To sum that up, the more the tracker is used and the more often alerts are sent to your device, the quicker the battery will deplete. The good part: you can monitor battery life and edit your settings from the app to balance battery usage and reporting frequency.
PLACING TRACKERS
SpyTrack trackers are very discreet and easy to place. The wireless trackers can be placed simply by dropping into a purse or backpack, setting under a car seat or inside a shipment, or attaching via magnet to the underside of a vehicle or other metal surface. There are countless other ways the wireless trackers can be placed or used. The OBD vehicle tracker is the only version that needs to be in a specific location because it plugs directly into the vehicle’s OBD2 port (usually located on the dashboard under the steering wheel). Even the hardwired vehicle tracker can be placed discreetly and has only 2-4 wires to connect, so installation is quick and easy.
